Medical Modeling & Visualization
Medical visualization of the equine fetlock joint
Real medical data from an equine fetlock joint was rendered in the medical software 3D Slicer. Accurate, realistic 3D anatomical models of fetlock bones and soft tissues were created. This project involved processing the created 3D models and inserting them into an interactive educational software, developed to aid the learning of arthroscopy in the horse.
Software used: 3D Slicer, Amira, 3ds Max, Unity 3D, MeshLab
3D modeling anatomical structures
3D modeling an anatomically accurate model of the equine fetlock joint involved rendering of real medical data and post-processing of bones and soft tissue models. Post-processing techniques assured maximum model usability by reducing polygon count while maintaining anatomical accuracy.
Software: 3ds Max, Lightwave 3D, SolidWorks, ZBrush, 3D Slicer, MeshLab
